The Star Sisters were a female pop trio from the Netherlands, which gained prominence during the early 1980s. The group was a spin-off from Stars on 45, a concept band that created medleys of hit songs set to a disco beat. The original lineup of The Star Sisters consisted of Patricia Paay, Yvonne Keeley, and Sylvana van Veen. They are best known for their 1983 hit "Stars on 45 Proudly Presents The Star Sisters," which featured a medley of well-known swing and boogie-woogie songs, including classics from the Andrews Sisters. Their act was characterized by tight vocal harmonies and stylized choreography, reminiscent of the bygone era of the 1940s and 1950s. While they enjoyed success in their home country and some international recognition, their popularity waned towards the mid-1980s, and they eventually disbanded.
