Spolupráce, loučení, pocta: druhé album Lady Gaga a Tonyho Bennetta Je to už sedm let, co Lady Gaga a Tony Bennett vydali společné album "Cheek To Cheek", kolekci jazzových standardů známých skladatelů, jako jsou George Gershwin, Cole Porter a Irving Berlin. Album se dostalo na první místo americké hitparády a na 57. ročníku udílení cen Grammy bylo oceněno jako nejlepší tradiční popové vokální album.

V roce 2021 se popová ikona a jazzový zpěvák opět spojili a vydávají své druhé společné album "Love For Sale", které má být zároveň posledním studiovým albem 95letého Bennetta.

Nápad na nové album se zrodil krátce po jeho předchůdci: pocta Coleu Porterovi. V době jeho vydání se Bennett zeptal Lady Gaga, zda by nechtěli společně natočit další album s písněmi Colea Portera. "Je mi vždycky ctí zpívat se svým přítelem Tonym, takže jsem pozvání samozřejmě přijala," vysvětlila zpěvačka.

Cole Porter byl americký skladatel a textař (1891-1964). Mnohé z jeho písní se staly standardy, známé svými vtipnými, městskými texty, a mnoho jeho skladeb mělo úspěch na Broadwayi i ve filmu.

A tak album "Love For Sale" obsahuje několik vrcholů z písničkářova legendárního repertoáru, včetně duetů i sólových skladeb. Lady Gaga uslyšíte v písních "Do I Love You" a "Let's Do It (Let's Fall In Love)", Bennett v "So In Love" a v samotné "Just One Of Those Things".

Album nahrávali mezi lety 2018 a 2021 ve studiu Electric Lady Studios v New Yorku. Vokály doprovází působivá směs jazzového ansámblu, big bandu a orchestrálních aranží.

A collaboration, a farewell, a tribute: the second album by Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett It's been seven years since Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett released "Cheek To Cheek", a collection of jazz standards by well-known composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin. The album reached number one on the US charts and was awarded Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 57th Grammy Awards.

In 2021, the pop icon and the jazz singer reunited to release their second album together, Love For Sale, which would also be the 95-year-old Bennett's last studio album.

The idea for the new album was born shortly after its predecessor: a tribute to Cole Porter. At the time of its release, Bennett asked Lady Gaga if they would like to make another album together with Cole Porter songs. "I'm always honored to sing with my friend Tony, so of course I accepted the invitation," the singer explained.

Cole Porter was an American composer and lyricist (1891-1964). Many of his songs became standards, known for their witty, urban lyrics, and many of his songs had success on Broadway and in film.

Thus, the album "Love For Sale" contains several highlights from the singer-songwriter's legendary repertoire, including duets and solo pieces. You'll hear Lady Gaga on "Do I Love You" and "Let's Do It (Let's Fall In Love)," Bennett on "So In Love" and "Just One Of Those Things" itself.

The album was recorded between 2018 and 2021 at Electric Lady Studios in New York City. The vocals are accompanied by an impressive mix of jazz ensemble, big band and orchestral arrangements.
