Black and Blue, released in 1976, is the tenth studio album by The Rolling Stones . The album was recorded during a tumultuous period when the band was going through a public feud between Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Despite this, the album was commercially successful and reached number one in the United States and the United Kingdom. The album's lead single, "Fool to Cry", reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Black and Blue is generally considered one of the band's weaker albums, but has been praised for its blues-rock influences.
