The Prodigy's 1997 album became not only an instant critical favourite, but also a commercial success. After the monster hits "Firestarter" and "Breathe", fans had to wait a long time for a long player. The album went on to top the charts in 26 countries, including of course the UK, the US and Germany. "The Fat Of The Land" sold one million copies worldwide in its first week and 18 months later has sold more than 10 million copies. Even today the album sounds damn live and is "state of the art". This milestone is finally available again!"The Fat Of The Land" went to number one in more than 22 countries after its release and has sold more than 500,000 copies in Germany to date. The Prodigy had already redefined breakbeat on the album "Music For The Jilted Generation" (1994), but thanks to the hit singles "Firestarter" and "Breathe" no one could stop them on their way to the top in 1997.Due to the expiration of the licensing agreement, the CD has not been regularly available in Germany since October 2004. Just in time for the band's 2005 tour and festival appearances, "The Fat Of The Land" returns at a very reasonable price.
