Their new eighth album, "Perdida," will be released in 2020. It will be the band's first purely acoustic LP. Vocalist Jeff Gutt, guitarist Dean DeLeo, bassist Robert DeLeo and drummer Eric Kretz recorded ten songs at Kretz's Bomb Shelter studio. The band handled the production themselves. In the song "Perdida", Stone Temple Pilots used an unusual instrumentation: flute, alto saxophone, vintage keyboard, guitar and marxophone, among others. They already revealed what the new album will sound like with the first single "Fare Thee Well". And it shows: the Stone Temple Pilots always know how to surprise. "Perdida" is an exciting musical journey that once again shows the band's enormous potential.
