Since the release of their debut album "Opus" in 2010, this Swedish heavy metal band has been a celebrated phenomenon. They have long been an insider tip in the metal scene and many famous artists, such as James Hetfield and Dave Grohl, have admitted to being fans. Once again, the concept of Ghost (also known as Ghost B.C.) works perfectly: the band members perform masked and anonymous, and each is referred to as "A Nameless Ghoul", with only the singer using the pseudonym "Papa Emeritus" ("Pope Emeritus") or "Papa Emeritus II or III".

Even in 2015, no one knows exactly who is really behind the masked band members. Alleged changes in the band's line-up during the preparation of the new LP were as unsettling to fans as the choice of producer Klas Åhlund (Katy Perry, among others). But for all the fans: don't worry! "Meliora" will not disappoint anyone who adores Ghost's previous work. Papa Emeritus III is well encapsulated and adds a more melodic flavor to the whole thing. In addition to hits like "Dues in absentia" or "He is" (with gigantic Asian-style choruses), there's also much heavier material like the epic banger anthem "Mummy Dust".

In addition to the current album, there's now a new EP on top - a great package for all Ghost fans and new admirers alike. While the Meliora album contains only original tracks, the EP features 4 cover versions from Echo and the Bunnymen, Simiam Mobile Disco, Eurythmics and Imperiet as well as a new Ghost single called Square Hammer.
