Samson

Samson was a British heavy metal band formed in 1977 by guitarist and vocalist Paul Samson. They were part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement, which included bands like Iron Maiden and Def Leppard, who gained popularity during the late 1970s and early 1980s. The band went through several lineup changes throughout its career, but the most notable lineup included Bruce Dickinson on vocals (who would later join Iron Maiden and gain international fame) and Thunderstick (Barry Graham Purkis) wearing a mask and playing drums inside a cage, which became part of the band's visual identity.
