Dynasty was an American band that was active during the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s. They were known for their funk and soul music, which was particularly popular during the era of disco and post-disco. The group was created by producer and SOLAR Records founder Dick Griffey and members of the band Lakeside. Dynasty released several albums, including "Your Piece Of The Rock" in 1979, which marked their debut. They continued to produce music with albums like "Adventures in the Land of Music" in 1980, which included one of their most famous tracks, "I've Just Begun to Love You." Their sound was characterized by upbeat rhythms, prominent bass lines, and a blend of soulful melodies with elements of funk. Despite not achieving the same level of fame as some of their contemporaries, Dynasty had a dedicated fan base and left a lasting impression on the funk and soul music scene of their time.
