German Indie Rock Band

Tocotronic is a German rock band founded in 1993 in Hamburg. The group is known for being a key figure in the "Hamburger Schule" movement, which combines elements of punk, grunge, and experimental pop, and is characterized by its intellectual and often ironic lyrics. The band consists of Dirk von Lowtzow (vocals, guitar), Jan Müller (bass guitar), Arne Zank (drums), and Rick McPhail (guitar, keyboard), who joined the band later on. Tocotronic quickly gained popularity with their early albums, which include "Nach Der Verlorenen Zeit" (1995), "K.O.O.K." (1999), and "Nie Wieder Krieg" (2005).
