Hungarian Symphony Orchestra

The Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra, founded in 1853, is Hungary's oldest musical institution and has a rich history of performing classical music. It was established by Ferenc Erkel, who was also the first music director of the orchestra and is renowned for composing the Hungarian national anthem. Throughout its existence, the orchestra has been associated with many of Hungary's most distinguished composers and has played a significant role in the country's musical culture.
