Justus Frantz is a renowned German pianist and conductor, born on May 14, 1944, in Hohensalza, which was then in Germany (today Inowrocław, Poland). He gained international recognition for his interpretations of classical music, particularly the works of Mozart and Beethoven. Frantz's career took off after he won the German national piano competition Jugend musiziert in 1967. He studied under Wilhelm Kempff and became known for his collaboration with other prominent musicians, including Leonard Bernstein and Herbert von Karajan.
