70s Psychedelic Rock Band Known for Collaborating with John Lennon and Yoko Ono

Elephant's Memory was an American rock band formed in the late 1960s, known for their eclectic style which blended elements of rock, jazz, and psychedelia. They gained their greatest notoriety for their collaboration with John Lennon and Yoko Ono in the early 1970s. The band served as Lennon and Ono's backing group during this period, most notably on the album "Some Time in New York City" released in 1972. This double album featured live performances from a benefit concert at the Fillmore East and studio recordings that included Elephant's Memory as the backing band. The group also released several albums under their own name, but none matched the commercial success of their work with Lennon and Ono. Despite not achieving widespread fame independently, Elephant's Memory is remembered for their contribution to the post-Beatles work of John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
