The line-up was completed by arranger Martin McCarrick, fiddler Gini Ball, Howard Devoto of Buzzcocks/Magazine and Gordon Sharp of Cindytalk. Pitchfork recently called it one of the best Dream Pop albums ever, a moment that "catalyzed 4AD's rise from the rigid poetics of goth rock to the kings of gauzy transcendence."
