The New York Times called the concert, recorded in February 1970 at the University of Leeds campus, "the best live rock album of all time". The Who even played a surprise performance of Young Man Blues, composed by jazz veteran Mose Allison, in the northern English city. They also played a cover version of Sonny Boy Williamson's Eyesight To The Blind, interspersed with early hits like I Can't Explain and Happy Jack and an extended version of the then-current song Tommy. The final medley - including My Generation and Magic Bus - was the perfect finale for Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle and Keith Moon.
