Scorpions' 50th birthday: remastered song "Savage Amusement" In 2015, Scorpions celebrate their 50th anniversary. On the occasion of the band's birthday, they are therefore coming up with something very special for their fans: the "50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition". In this edition, Scorpions are re-releasing a number of different studio and live albums. In addition, the band has pulled a number of previously unreleased tracks from their archives, including rare live recordings, alternate versions of their songs and rough mixes. Savage Amusement", the Scorpions' tenth studio album, will be released in 2015 in a remastered special edition that will include an LP and CD or CD and DVD. The album was first released in 1988 and contained a total of nine songs in the first version. The remastered version now includes six additional previously unreleased tracks that the band chose for the release. In addition to the CD, there is a bonus DVD which contains video clips and several documentaries. Among other things, it chronicles the band's trip to Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), where the Scorpions performed in the spring of 1988 as the first ever Western rock band. The film is accompanied by an interview in which the band explains the making of the album. Like all the albums in the anniversary series, "Savage Amusement" is available as an LP with an additional CD and includes a 16-page booklet with new liner notes by former Metal Hammer editor Edgar Klüsener, photos and images of backstage passes and rare single covers. "50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition" presents the legendary Scorpions albums in a new sound. One of them is called "Savage Amusement". In addition to "Savage Amusement", the anniversary series also includes the albums "World Wide Live", "Taken By Force", "Tokyo Tapes", "Lovedrive", "Animal Magnetism", "Blackout" and "Love At First Sting". In addition, all albums will be released together in a limited edition "Vinyl Box".
