"'Once More 'Round the Sun' basically describes a year of my life," Dailor explains. "This time around, we incorporated the things that have been most on our minds lately into the lyrics, whereas before we were inspired by events from the more distant past. This one is now about being part of this band for 365 days. It's been a challenging and very special journey." In order to maintain their distinctive modus operandi when it comes to experimentation and progression, the band has tapped into the talents of producer extraordinaire Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Alice In Chains, Deftones, etc.) for the first time. There's no doubt that "Once More 'Round the Sun" is positively Mastodon-charged. The gentlemen have proven themselves artistically as well, and with "Once More 'Round the Sun" they continue the tradition of constant evolution.
