Soundtrack k novému filmu Damiena Chazella "La La Land" s Emmou Stone a Ryanem Goslingem v hlavních rolích získal na letošních Oscarech dvě z prestižních trofejí v kategoriích "Nejlepší filmová hudba" a "Nejlepší filmová píseň".

Stejně jako v jeho uznávaném a Oscary ověnčeném předchůdci "Whiplash" (2014), i v novém Chazellově filmu je hudba v centru pozornosti. Na soundtracku se objeví zbrusu nová píseň Johna Legenda a singl "City of Stars" od Emmy Stone & Ryana Goslinga.

Autorem hudby je Justin Hurwitz ("Whiplash") a texty písní Benj Pasek a Justin Paul, produkci měli na starosti Hurwitz, Marius de Vries a Steven Gizicki. OST se skládá výhradně z písní nazpívaných samotnými herci vysokého kalibru (a se silným hlasem) - především hlavními představiteli Ryanem Goslingem a Emmou Stone, zvláštní roli hraje také John Legend. Píseň "Start A Fire" je exkluzivní skladbou Legenda, který ji napsal společně s Hurwitzem, Mariusem de Vriesem a Angelique Cinelu.
