Health vznikli v roce 2005 v L.A. a v té době byli známí svými intenzivními patnáctiminutovými živými sety. Jejich bouřlivé bicí, trhavý kytarový zvuk a děsivě elegantní vokály nezněly jako nikdo jiný ve městě. The Smell - jeden z nejvlivnějších DIY podniků té doby kapelu prosadil a scéna jim přinesla mezinárodní uznání. Krátce poté vydali Chrystal Castles remix singlu Health "Crimewave" na svém vlastním debutovém albu, čímž obě kapely prorazily a úspěch okamžitě pokračoval sérií Health::Disco.

Ještě téhož roku Health předskakovali Nine Inch Nails na jejich "Lights in the Sky Tour" a pokračovali ve hraní na velkých pódiích. Health, kteří se nyní mohou pochlubit hvězdnou kariérou, třemi úspěšnými alby a dalšími pozoruhodnými projekty, jako je například soundtrack ke hře "Max Payne 3", nyní vydávají své čtvrté studiové album u Loma Vista Recordings a Caroline International.
