Od vydání debutového alba "Opus" v roce 2010 je tato švédská heavymetalová kapela slavným fenoménem. Na metalové scéně už dávno nejsou zasvěceným tipem a mnoho známých umělců, jako například James Hetfield nebo Dave Grohl, se přiznalo, že jsou jejich fanoušky. Koncept Ghost (známý také jako Ghost B.C.) opět funguje dokonale: členové kapely vystupují maskovaní a anonymní a každý z nich je uváděn jako "A Nameless Ghoul", pouze zpěvák používá pseudonym "Papa Emeritus" ("emeritní papež"), případně "Papa Emeritus II nebo III".

Ani v roce 2015 nikdo přesně neví, kdo se za maskovanými členy kapely skutečně skrývá. Údajné změny v sestavě kapely v době přípravy nového LPho alba byly pro fanoušky stejně znepokojivé jako výběr producenta Klase Åhlunda (mj. Katy Perry). Ale pro všechny fanoušky: nebojte se! "Meliora" nezklame nikoho, kdo zbožňuje předchozí tvorbu Ghost. Papa Emeritus III je dobře zakomponován a dodává celku melodičtější příchuť. Kromě hitů jako "Dues in absentia" nebo "He is" (s gigantickými refrény ve stylu Asie) je tu i mnohem těžší materiál jako epická bangerová hymna "Mumie prach".

Kromě aktuálního alba je tu nyní navrch nové EP - skvělý balíček pro všechny fanoušky i nové obdivovatele Ghost. Zatímco album Meliora obsahuje pouze původní skladby, EP obsahuje 4 coververze od Echo and the Bunnymen, Simiam Mobile Disco, Eurythmics a Imperiet a také nový singl Ghost s názvem Square Hammer.

Since the release of their debut album "Opus" in 2010, this Swedish heavy metal band has been a celebrated phenomenon. They have long been an insider tip on the metal scene and many famous artists, such as James Hetfield and Dave Grohl, have also claimed their fans. The concept of Ghost (also trading as Ghost B.C.) now works perfectly again, with the band members performing masked and anonymous and each being referred to as "A Nameless Ghoul", with only the singer using the pseudonym "Papa Emeritus" ("Emeritus Pope") or "Papa Emeritus II or III". Even in 2015, no one knows exactly who is really behind the masked band members. Alleged changes in the band's line-up have been as unsettling to fans ahead of the new LP's release as the choice of producer Klas Åhlund (Katy Perry, among others). But for all the fans: don't worry! "Meliora" will not disappoint anyone who admires Ghost's previous work. Papa Emeritus III is well integrated and adds a more melodic touch to the whole. Besides hits like "Dues in absentia" or "He is" (with choruses similar to Asian Giants), there is also much heavier material like the epic banger anthem "Mummy dust". In addition to the current album, there is now a new EP on top - a super package for all Ghost fans and new admirers. While the Meliora album contains only original tracks, the EP includes four cover versions from Echo and the Bunnymen, Simiam Mobile Disco, Eurythmics and Imperiet, and a new Ghost single called Square Hammer.
