The veryfirst listen to Debbi's new album answers the question why the charismatic Russian took her time preparing her third studio album. Four years after her previous album Love, Logic & Will, which marked an important milestone in her artistic development, she comes with her most mature material yet.

Debbi, who has made a name for herself with straightforward melodies like La La and the angel statuette-winning Touch The Sun, collaborated with producer Dušan Neuwerth for the first time on Break. The latter has previously worked on a number of notable domestic releases, starting with his home band Tata Bojs and ending with last year's award-winning Pieces album by No Distance Paradise.

Neuwerth has been working intensively with the owner of one of the most interesting voices in the country for almost two years, and together they have selected the final ten songs from the nearly forty songs that will appear on the new album Break. An album that underlines three times what last year's single Hard To Believe already suggested: that Debbi is far from being just a cute girl singing playful pop songs. What strikes you about the new album is its musical diversity, which sometimes allows Debbi's pure musical sensibility to come through in a minimalist way, but also counts on the intermingling of various influences, such as electronics, r'n'b, touches of retro and echoes of London clubs alongside acoustic pop.

The other mainstay of Break is Debbi's own vocals, which continue to showcase her distinctive vocal timbre, but are far more mature and variable than ever before.

The team of writers, approached by producer Dušan Neuwerth, gives young faces a chance alongside the established names. The singer and songwriter Marcell from the band No Distance Paradise is signed under three songs, the biggest surprise of the album is the song Pull Me Out, written by singer-songwriter Jakub Ondra and despite the unpredictability of the arrangement it is so catchy that it became a clear candidate for a radio single. Jana Kirschner has traditionally contributed two songs.
