Nejprve ty dobré zprávy: S "A Head Full Of Dreams" Coldplay necelý rok po "Ghost Stories" představují nové studiové album, v pořadí již sedmé.

Album, na němž kapela pracovala od léta 2014, je do jisté míry opakem svého zádumčivého, melancholického předchůdce, totiž popové, veselé a barevné, jak napovídá obal. Tu a tam je i taneční, jak dokazuje první singl "Adventure Of A Lifetime". Coldplay jím 6. listopadu 2015 dali první ochutnávku alba.

"A Head Full Of Dreams" obsahuje celkem jedenáct nových písní britské kapely, které nahrála společně s producentem Rikem Simpsonem a produkčním týmem Stargate. Vokální podporu jim neposkytl nikdo jiný než Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo a Merry Clayton.

Jedinou špatnou zprávou je, že zpěvák Chris Martin již oznámil, že "A Head Full Of Dreams" by mohlo být prozatím posledním albem kapely. To však neznamená, že se někdy nedočkáme pokračování. Rozpad kapely také není na spadnutí.

Jejich nové album znamená konec "životního dobrodružství", alespoň prozatím. "A Head Full Of Dreams" však dokazuje, že i z něj lze odejít v dobré náladě a barevný - Coldplay tak, jak je známe a milujeme.

With "A Head Full Of Dreams," Coldplay asks for one last dance Coldplay fans are kind of between two stools these days, as the band has announced both very good and equally bad news for 2015. First the good: Less than a year after "Ghost Stories," Coldplay is releasing a new studio album, their seventh, "A Head Full Of Dreams." The album, which the band has been working on since the summer of 2014, is in a way the opposite of its brooding, melancholic predecessor, namely poppy, cheerful and colorful, as the cover suggests. In addition, it's danceable here and there, as the first single "Adventure Of A Lifetime" proves once again. Coldplay introduced the first preview of the album with this single on November 6, 2015. In total, there are eleven new songs on "A Head Full Of Dreams", which the Brits recorded with producer Rik Simpson and production team Stargate. Vocal support is provided by Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo and Merry Clayton. Finally, the only bad news is that singer Chris Martin has already announced that "A Head Full Of Dreams" could be the band's last album for now. However, that doesn't mean a successor won't emerge at some point. There is also no danger of the band breaking up. Instead, Coldplay have announced an extensive world tour following the album's release, which, in keeping with the album's colorful concept, will be released as a double LP on colored vinyl in addition to the standard CD. With the new album, the "adventure of a lifetime" ends, at least for now. However, "A Head Full Of Dreams" is proof that it is possible to come out with a good mood and colour - Coldplay as we know and love them.
