JARO is German label/company established in 1981 by Uli Balss, producer with JG-Records in their later years. The original brand was JA&RO records which ran in parallel to JG-Records until the company was renamed JARO in late 1984. The label name according to official GVL information is "Jaro Records". According to the official website: Record label started in 1981 by Ulrich Balss, basically to have Finnish band Piirpauke's music made available, this band finding no support from the record industry back then. With the founding of the label and publishing company in 1981, the company referred to today as JARO Medien GmbH took its final shape. Originally located in Enger, it has been at home in Bremen for more than twenty years. Today JARO is a record label, music publisher, concert agency and distributor.
