Fill In The Breaks is an independent Hiphop label/creative brand based in Minneapolis/Saint Paul. Since our 2006 inception we have focused on making not only the dopest, most innovative, middle finger to the masses Hiphop shit. But also providing an outlet for artists of all shapes and sizes a medium to express and collaborate via album art, posters, promo materials, photography, and print work.
In four short years we have released 11 official albums that have received cult-like praise across the US, Canada, and Europe. Yes yes we know “record labels” in the classic sense are dying fast but we are not trying to be your daddy’s record label. We only put out projects we believe in. We strive for something bigger, better, and much more user friendly. We are building a brand. It’s Hiphop, it’s art, it’s life, love, and the ugly little things in between.
Our artists are as accomplished as they are up and coming. Collaborating and touring with the likes of Awol One of the Shapeshifters, Eyedea and Abilities, Dark Time Sunshine, Mr. Dibbs, and Qwel of Typical Cats. Not to mention sharing stages with hiphop giants Aesop Rock, KRS ONE, Brother Ali, Prince Po of Organized Konfusion, Count Bass D, RA The Rugged Man, Mac Lethal, Josh Martinez, Glue, 2Mex, the list goes on and on. But we don’t pride ourselves on name dropping. We stand on our own with our releases and our red-eyed, coffee pot work ethic.
