Disc'Az

French label established in 1963 by Lucien Morisse; also appears as "Disc AZ", "Disc' Az" or "AZ" only. May also appear as "TC AZ" on Canadian releases (distributed by Trans-Canada). Label Code: LC 0432 / LC 00432 For production roles, use profile : Disques AZ. SG prefix = Série Gémeaux singles. French Discodis distributed issues usually have AZ 10 ??? number and SG number. In such cases add the AZ number to label, then add Série Gémeaux and SG number to series. For some activities it is just known as AZ (i.e. distribution and marketing). Although Disc'Az has acted as a distributor itself, marketing strategies changed over time, and the label has been handled via many other distributors, including: Disques Vogue (1963-68), Discodis (1968-84?), Musidisc (1984-1997), M10 (1998-1999), and was then bought up by Universal in 1999.
