The Bouncing Souls are an American punk rock band from New Brunswick, New Jersey, formed in 1989. The group consists of Greg Attonito (vocals), Pete Steinkopf (guitar), Bryan Kienlen (bass), and George Rebelo (drums), who joined in 2013 after previous drummer Michael McDermott left the band. Known for their energetic live shows and loyal fan base, The Bouncing Souls have become a staple in the punk community over their decades-long career. They have released numerous albums, with "Maniacal Laughter" (1996) being their second full-length record, which helped them gain further attention and a larger following. "Simplicity," released in 2016, showcased a return to their earlier sound with a straightforward punk approach. "Crucial Moments," an EP that came out in 2019, celebrated the band's 30th anniversary and was accompanied by a book detailing their history. Throughout their career, The Bouncing Souls have remained true to their DIY ethos while signing with notable labels like Epitaph Records and Chunksaah Records, the latter being co-founded by the band's own Bryan Kienlen.
