Ready For The World is an American R&B band from Flint, Michigan, that enjoyed its peak success in the mid-1980s. Formed by high school friends in the early 1980s, the group is best known for their hit single "Oh Sheila," which topped both the R&B and pop charts in 1985. The band's self-titled debut album, released that same year, also featured other notable tracks and showcased their smooth blend of soulful vocals and electronic instrumentation, which was characteristic of the era's popular music. Following their initial success, Ready For The World continued to produce music and released several more albums throughout the late '80s and into the early '90s.
