Paradox is a German thrash metal band formed in 1986 by vocalist and guitarist Charly Steinhauer. Throughout their career, they have been known for their intricate guitar work and sophisticated song structures, often incorporating elements of power metal into their thrash metal sound. The band's lineup has seen several changes over the years, with Steinhauer being the consistent member. Paradox gained recognition in the metal scene with their debut album "Product of Imagination" in 1987 and further established their presence with the follow-up "Heresy" in 1989, which is often cited as a classic in the genre. Despite facing challenges such as lineup changes and hiatuses, Paradox has continued to produce music and maintain a loyal fan base. They released "Riot Squad" in 2009 and "Tales Of The Weird" in 2012, among other albums, showcasing their ability to evolve while staying true to their thrash metal roots.
