Born on July 14, 1939, in Pilsen, he first gained prominence in the 1960s after participating in several music festivals. His versatile voice allowed him to cover a range of genres, from pop to classical crossover. Throughout his career, Gott released over 100 albums and numerous singles, becoming one of the most successful and enduring artists in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
