Indiana Line Tesi 5 floorstanding loudspeaker

Tesi 5 is a 2.5-band smaller floorstanding loudspeaker, which is part of the new Tesi series from Indiana Line - a manufacturer with Italian roots and a long tradition in loudspeaker design. This model is a direct successor to the Tesi 561 and continues the tradition of the entire line. This means that it stands out for its excellent price/quality ratio. This success has been made possible by the introduction of a number of improvements and solutions that have already been successfully applied to the top of the range Diva. Expect an attractive, modern sound with high dynamics and remarkably low distortion levels.

Versatile styling, solid construction

Visually, Tesi 5 exudes universal elegance. The design reflects attention to every detail - from the gently rounded top edges to the new, aesthetically pleasing decorative rings covering the bass and midrange drivers. Speakers with this aesthetic will easily blend into the interior of a listening room or become its main decorative elements. However, visual appeal is not the only advantage. It's worth noting that the stylish MDF cabinet has been reinforced on the inside with robust bracing, effectively eliminating cabinet resonances and improving overall structural stability.

New front tweeter

The Tesi 5 features a 26mm tweeter with a unique radial damping chamber and a neodymium magnet in the transducer's magnetic system. The front of the tweeter has been redesigned and now has a rectangular shape inspired by the latest Diva series speakers. Most importantly, it not only stands out aesthetically, but also contributes to better and more natural treble dispersion, resulting in an improved soundstage.

Improved electroacoustic transducers

The tweeter in the Tesi 5 is complemented by two 160mm transducers - a mid-bass and a woofer with extended linear excursion. Both are equipped with polypropylene diaphragms with mica. This ensures high rigidity and optimal damping, allowing both speakers to reproduce sonic details and various nuances even more effectively. In addition, a new dust cap has been used and the inductance linearisation rings are now located in both the midrange and woofer. As a result, the sound is more real, clearer and more eloquent.

Innovative Dual-Wave Suspension

The transducers responsible for bass and midrange reproduction have been given a new, precisely designed Dual-Wave suspension. This extends the speakers' linear operating range and reduces intermodulation distortion, especially in the low frequencies. This in turn translates into improved clarity in the mid-range of the acoustic spectrum. You'll hear this significantly in percussion and string passages, which sound natural and clear.

Improved turnout

The Tesi 5 has also received an all-new, highly optimised turnout - the key element responsible for transferring the appropriate frequencies to the transducers. It has been developed using dedicated measurement systems, maintaining the same topology and comparable component quality as the turnouts installed in the Diva series models. As a result, the Tesi 5 boasts uniform impedance characteristics, high efficiency and low distortion levels.
