Walter Salas-Humara is an American musician and songwriter, best known as the frontman for the alternative rock band The Silos. Founded in the mid-1980s, The Silos emerged from the post-punk scene and were influential in the development of alternative country and Americana music. Salas-Humara's work with The Silos has been critically acclaimed, and the band's 1987 album "Cuba" in particular has been recognized as a milestone in the genre.
