Post-Hardcore Pioneers

Thursday is an American post-hardcore band that formed in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1997. The band consists of Geoff Rickly (vocals), Tom Keeley (guitar, backing vocals), Steve Pedulla (guitar, backing vocals), Tim Payne (bass guitar), Tucker Rule (drums), and Andrew Everding (keyboards, backing vocals). They are known for their angular guitar melodies, poetic lyrics, and dynamic shifts in tempo and loudness. Thursday released their debut album "Waiting" in 1999 but gained widespread recognition with their second album "Full Collapse" in 2001. This album helped to establish them as a prominent force in the post-hardcore scene and included the single "Understanding in a Car Crash," which became one of their most well-known songs.
