The Marquis De Tren

The Marquis De Tren is an alias used by Mick Turner, an Australian musician and artist best known for his work with the instrumental rock band Dirty Three. While The Marquis De Tren may not be as widely recognized as Turner's work with Dirty Three, it represents a facet of his musical exploration. Mick Turner has collaborated with various artists throughout his career, and under the moniker The Marquis De Tren, he teamed up with Bonnie 'Prince' Billy (Will Oldham) for the "Get On Jolly" EP released in 2000. This collaboration showcased a blend of Turner's distinctive guitar work and Oldham's folk-influenced songwriting.
