The Crüxshadows

The Crüxshadows

Dark Wave Synthpop Ensemble

The Crüxshadows started in the early 1990s in a little town in North Florida. Numerous lineup changes over the years, with Rogue as the only founding member, have not slowed them down. The band started as a Gothic darkwave band, but over the years added elements of the then popular futurepop style (a mix of EBM and trance), leading to chart success in the US and Germany. Their singles Sophia, Birthday and Quicksilver all hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Singles Sales Chart. They have regularly topped the Deutsche Alternative Charts (DAC) over their career with singles and albums. Their songs draw on elements of Egyptian, Greek and Judaeo-Christian myths and symbols. Their 2017 album, Astromythology, saw them moving on from most of the futurepop elements in favour of a darkwave pop sound. Former members & dancers include: Rachel McDonnell (former Violinist), Chris Brantley (former Keyboards), Stacey Campbell (former guitar player), George Bikos (former guitar player), Sean Flanagan (former keyboard player), Tim Curry (former guitar player), Trevor Brown (former keyboard player), Kevin Page (former guitar player), Rachel Ulrich (former dancer), Beth Allen (former dancer), Holly McCall (former dancer), Roo Smith (former dancer), & Liz Repass (former dancer).
