Rilo Kiley was an American indie rock band that formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1998. The group was composed of vocalist Jenny Lewis, guitarist Blake Sennett, bassist Pierre de Reeder, and drummer Jason Boesel. They began their career with an eponymous EP "Rilo Kiley" in 1999, which introduced their blend of indie rock, country, and pop elements. The band gained significant attention with their subsequent albums, particularly "The Execution of All Things" in 2002 and "More Adventurous" in 2004. Their fourth full-length album, "Under the Blacklight," released in 2007, marked a departure towards a more polished pop sound and garnered them wider commercial recognition. After a hiatus, the band released a compilation of rare tracks titled "Rkives" in 2013. Despite never achieving massive mainstream success, Rilo Kiley has been praised for their songwriting and has maintained a dedicated fan base. They officially disbanded in 2014.
