Ratt is an American glam metal band that formed in San Diego, California, in 1977. The band enjoyed significant commercial success in the 1980s, with their music characterized by their melodic hooks and the raspy vocal style of lead singer Stephen Pearcy. The group's breakthrough album "Out of the Cellar," released in 1984, propelled them to fame, thanks in part to the hit single "Round and Round," which became a staple of the era's hard rock scene. Ratt's lineup has often changed over the years, with Pearcy and guitarist Robbin Crosby being central figures during their peak years.
