Peter Lewis is a musician best known for being a guitarist and vocalist for the band Moby Grape, which was a prominent rock group from the San Francisco scene during the late 1960s. Moby Grape's music incorporated elements of folk, blues, country, and jazz. The band's 1967 self-titled debut album is considered a classic of the psychedelic rock genre. Peter Lewis contributed to the group's distinctive sound with his guitar playing and harmonies. After Moby Grape disbanded, Lewis continued to make music, both as a solo artist and in various collaborations.
