Loop

Loop is a British rock band, formed in 1986 by Robert Hampson in Croydon. The group was known for its fusion of drone, punk, heavy psych, and noise rock, and was associated with the late 1980s UK indie scene. They were part of the so-called "shoegazing" movement, although their sound was heavier and more rooted in psychedelia and Krautrock than many of their contemporaries. Loop released several albums during the late 1980s and early 1990s, including "Heaven's End" (1987) and "Fade Out" (1988). After disbanding in 1991, Loop was reformed by Hampson in 2013 for a series of live performances and new material. The band's influence has been noted on subsequent generations of alternative and experimental rock musicians.
