British classical pianist

Hamish Milne was a British classical pianist known for his expertise in the works of lesser-known composers as well as his interpretations of more mainstream repertoire. Born on April 27, 1939, Milne studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and later in Italy with Guido Agosti. He gained recognition for his performances and recordings of the music of Nikolai Medtner, a Russian composer and pianist, and became one of the leading interpreters of Medtner's works.
