Goldfrapp is an English electronic music duo formed in 1999 in London, consisting of vocalist Alison Goldfrapp and keyboardist Will Gregory. The band is known for its cinematic soundscapes and Alison's haunting vocals, which blend elements of synth-pop, folk, classical, and trip-hop. Their debut album "Felt Mountain," released in 2000, was critically acclaimed and nominated for the Mercury Prize. It set the tone for their versatile and evolving sound. Over the years, Goldfrapp has continued to innovate and explore different musical styles with each album release. "Head First," their fifth studio album released in 2010, embraced an 80s synth-pop aesthetic and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Electronic/Dance Album.
