Giulio Regondi

19th-Century Classical Guitarist and Composer

Giulio Regondi (1822–1872) was a prominent guitarist, composer, and concertina player of the 19th century. Born in Geneva, he was a child prodigy who began his performing career at an early age. Regondi's compositions for guitar have been celebrated for their lyrical qualities and technical demands, contributing significantly to the classical guitar repertoire. His works include etudes that are still considered important for technical development and expressive playing.
