Dyecrest is a Finnish metal band that was originally formed in 1993 under the name "Direcrown." The band's style can be characterized as a blend of power metal and melodic heavy metal. Throughout their career, they have undergone several lineup changes and periods of inactivity. Dyecrest released their debut album "The Way of Pain" in 2004, which was followed by "This Is My World" in 2005. After a long hiatus, they made a comeback with the album "Are You Not Entertained?" in 2018. This album marked a significant return for the band, showcasing their evolved sound and songwriting skills. Dyecrest has participated in various competitions and has had the opportunity to share the stage with well-known acts, contributing to their recognition within the metal community.
