On VOLA's third full-length album "Witness", Mygind was again involved as producer, but this time Grammy-nominated producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, The Black Dahlia Murder, Amaranthe) took care of the mixing and mastering. Musically, the album is almost a testament to its predecessor. On the sound of "Witness", Mygind states, "Applause Of A Distant Crowd" had a great dynamic between songs and the production tended towards a very organic and lively sound. Having done that, it was refreshing to do something that sounded more like a cut where the energy level didn't fluctuate so much. The songs were definitely written with that in mind." He also mentions the specific influence of Hansen's work on the record, "The fact that Jacob Hansen mixed the album was also a factor. He's very good at creating catchy vocals, so the prospect of working with him was a motivation to create an album with big, catchy choruses at the forefront. He has a penchant for big soundscapes in general, which inspired us to add more layers to the production than ever before." VOLA are: Asger Mygind (vocals/guitar), Martin Werner (keyboards), Nicolai Mogensen (bass), Adam Janzi (drums).
