All of these 2000 songs are broadcast consecutively from Christmas until a few minutes before New Year's Eve, when the number 1 chart is broadcast. "Top 2000 - 80s" focuses on the music from this list that saw the light of day during this fantastic decade. The 80s brought the rise of dance music and new wave, but also glam metal, thrash metal, hip-hop and R&B. This album features classics from Queen, Simple Minds, The Clash, Run-D. M.C., Level 42, Rush and Elton John. "Top 2000" brings together all generations of music from the 1960s to the present, making it the most versatile chart of all time, drawing more than half the country to the radio throughout the broadcast week. And thanks to daily telecasts during the broadcast, it has reached an even wider audience.
