This music brings magic to any cottage, with all the candles, lights and crackling stove, while it's snowing and storming outside... A nostalgic and colorful Christmas compilation not just for the holidays, sometimes dancey and sometimes dreamy, with lots of swing and jazz, rhythm & blues and crooner pop! A new edition of "Season's Greetings" for 2020 from Bear Family! A nostalgic Christmas with 14 Linda Hop-Jitterbug-Boogie-Jive and Easy Listening rarities from 1947-1962! Includes the title song Christmas Ball and the B-side of the rare 1951 single Coral by the Georgia Auld Orchestra featuring the great singer Bill Darnell. There is also a version of Jingle Bells by Knuckles O'Toole & The Brigadiers, Auld Lang Syne's New Year's Goosebumps in a worn version by Guy Lombardo, and the famous version of the classic Sleigh Ride by orchestra leader Leroy Anderson, also known from the movie "The Polar Express"! As well as the Andrews Sisters, there are ladies with great voices, notably the wonderful Dinah Washington, crooner Dorothy Collins and last but not least Kay Martin who provides some pretty raunchy eroticism. They are joined by Jerry Lewis, comedian and movie star from the glory days of Hollywood, with a rather rare recording!
