This album is a collaboration between Greek composer Vangelis and Japanese filmmaker Koreyoshi Kurahara. It was released in 1983 and is based on the film "Nankyoku Monogatari" (1983), about the Japanese expedition to Antarctica. The music is atmospheric and evocative and perfectly captures the icy beauty of the Antarctic landscape.
