Slow, Deep and Hard is the debut album by Type O Negative , released on April 22, 1991. The album was recorded at the Systems Two recording studio in Brooklyn, New York. It was produced by Peter Steele and Type O Negative and mixed by Michael Barbiero. The album is a mixture of doom metal and gothic rock. The album was well received by music critics. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 1992.
