Transatlantic is a progressive rock supergroup formed in 1998 by Neal Morse (ex-Spock's Beard), Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings), Pete Trewavas (Marillion) and Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater). The band's first album "SMPT:e" was released in 2000. The second album "Bridge Across Forever" was released in 2001. The album was recorded at The Plant Studios in Sausalito, California. The album was produced by Transatlantic and Rich Mouser. The album was mixed by Rich Mouser and mastered by Alan Douches. The album was released on October 30, 2001 by InsideOut Music. The album reached number 5 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart.
