Almost eleven years have passed since the release of Tom Jones Praise & Blame. On it, he paid tribute to his musical roots. The films Spirit In The Room (2012) and Long Lost Suitcase (2015) followed in the same successful vein. Jones is known for creating his own cover versions thanks to his unique and unmistakable voice. It's only logical, then, that the octogenarian singer is now back with another album of mostly foreign material. For the Surrounded By Time LP, Jones enlisted Ethan Johns and Mark Woodward as producers. He also wrote the track Samson And Delilah with them. Surrounded By Time also features songs by Bob Dylan (One More Cup Of Coffee), Terry Callier (Lazarus Man), Cat Stevens and Yusuf Islam (Popstar) and Michael Kiwanuka (I Won't Lie).
