The Beatles debut album Please Please Me, released in 1963, was recorded in just 10 hours and contained 8 original tracks. The album was a huge success in the UK, reaching number one in the charts and going 4x platinum from the RIAA. Please Please Me was the band's first album released in the US and charted at number 17 on the Billboard 200. Singles from the album, "Love Me Do" and "Please Please Me", both reached the top 20 in the UK. Please Please Me has been praised by critics for its strong songwriting and musicianship and is considered one of the best albums of all time.
