Reissue of the fifth Spiritualized album on 180g vinyl. While the previous album "Let It Come Down" took a total of four years to record and required 120 musicians to complete, Spiritualized mastermind Jason Pierce cut back on "Amazing Grace". He didn't introduce the songs to his band until the day of recording, looking for a direct, unadulterated sound. Songs like the single "She Kissed Me (It Felt Like a Hit)" sound hard and have roots in garage rock. What has remained, however, is a love of gospel, so he can't miss "Lord Let It Rain On Me." After just three weeks, the studio work was done, focused and to the point. The song "Lay It Down Slow" subsequently became widely known due to its prominent use in the "Prison Break" series.
